These are some of the comments from the children and adults who have already been to Messy Church! It really is that good!

Messy church is still church but provides a totally different style of worship designed to appeals to families. Messy Church takes place about every two months on a Sunday afternoon between 4pm to 5.30pm at Bidford-on-Avon Primary School. There are no age restrictions and all are very welcome to join in the fun. We encourage the whole family to join in!

What happens at Messy Church?

The format for each session remains loosely the same, with each session based around a different theme and lasting for about one and a half hours. For the first 45 minutes or so there are a range of "messy" activities on offered relating to the theme -  these include arts and crafts of every description, activities that involve food and activities that just involve having fun and making a mess. There will also be sports activities and challenges. This is the time for everyone to get creative, get active and get stuck in.

After the activities is a short time of worship exploring the theme of the activities (approx 15-20mins). This is simple in style, with the children encouraged to join in and show everyone the things that have been made.  

We finish off the afternoon by having tea together, giving everyone to a chance to sit down and chat - adults and children alike.
